The Flour Mill has just been welcomed as Town Team #225 — joining a national movement of community groups who are taking positive, practical action to make their local places better.
So what’s a Town Team?
Town Teams are community groups, made up of residents, businesses, and anyone who cares about their neighbourhood, who work together to make their local area more connected, vibrant, and welcoming. They’re doers, not just talkers. The movement is guided by a shared set of values: be positive, be proactive, be inclusive, and make it fun.
It’s less about formal committees and more about people who care, rolling up their sleeves and making things happen, one small action at a time.
Why The Flour Mill team?
Because this community already has so much going for it. We have Little BIG Foundation on site, showing what is possible when neighbours connect. We have a Business Collective, coming together to improve our local area. Becoming a Town Team is a natural extension of everything that is already great about this place: a way to bring even more people into the fold and tap into a wider network of ideas, resources, and inspiration.
What does this mean for you?
Honestly? Whatever you want it to mean.
Maybe you’d love to help host a morning tea for neighbours you’ve never met. Maybe you have an idea for activating a corner of the precinct that’s been bugging you. Maybe you just want to show up and be part of something good.
There’s no membership fee, no formal commitment, and no minimum qualification — just a shared belief that this place is worth investing in.

We’re just getting started, and we want to build this team with the people who live, work, and spend time here. If you’re keen to be part of it, connect here or just keep an eye on this space for what’s coming next.
